A gift for you?

This week a cover reveal is coming your way.

Okay, I know this is not what we all wanted for Christmas, but I hope this helps. Later this week I will reveal Rocklorien Book 2's cover! You've already enjoyed a glimpse, so I hope you will be stoked to see the final product.

My illustrator, Valerie Whitehead, created the most amazing textures for Bass and Granny! These two Iggies are showing off their igneous cooling histories in style too. You don't want to to miss it.

Why is the book late?

#1 Moving

My family and I moved across "the pond". That whole event put life on a rollercoaster for about 6 months. It is the nature overseas moves. Everything from not having Internet installed to my printer being stuck who knows where in a crate on an airfield. I am still that author who needs paper to do my edits ;-)

#2 Government Shutdown

Yup, the government shutdown affected authors and the publishing world. To encourage library distribution, authors like to have a Library of Congress Number assigned to their book. The library of congress was shut down with every other government entity, right during my window of publication. Not only was the office shutdown, but there is now a backlog of books waiting to have numbers assessed. So, we wait.

So, with those two scapegoats, I hope you will accept this apology and help me launch Book 2 in February! See you in a couple days for the Cover Reveal!
